U.S. Data Online™ Training CD
This CD-based course provides an introduction and overview on the functionality of the U.S. Data Online application. There are six separate modules, with each module covering a separate procedure.
Module 1-Introduction and Overview The tools on the homepage are reviewed. The functionality of each of the tabbed sections is also covered.
Module 2-Querying Production Data Focuses on querying data from the Search page. The Production Data Type is selected and available search criteria categories are reviewed. Search Criteria is then selected, defined and added to the Criteria log. With a production data query created, procedures to run the query and to save the query are covered.
Module 3-Querying Well Data Also focuses on building a data query using the Search page. The Well Data Type is selected and available search criteria categories are reviewed. We will locate specific Search Criteria using a scroll bar search and a text entry search. After adding criteria to the Criteria log, procedures for running a query and saving a query are reviewed.
Module 4-Working With the Map The Map page opens to a full view of the United States. We will begin by zooming in to an area of interest. Map layers and labels are then selected and applied. The area of interest is repositioned and individual well or production entity spots are identified. Specific areas and entities within the map view are selected and highlighted for analysis. A Browse list containing information for all entities in the selected area is then created.
Module 5-Purchasing Data The module opens by displaying a Browse list containing search results from a query. Depending on the data type selected, wells or production entities are then selected for purchase. Generating Associated Production or Associated Wells in a browse list enables you to purchase both well and production data at the same time. After verifying your purchase, options to proceed in U.S. Data Online are reviewed.
Module 6-Retrieving Purchased Files Purchased files reside and can be accessed from the My Files page. Procedures on retrieving report and export files include options to open a report or export file immediately or to save a report or export file to your computer hard drive. Reports can be viewed and displayed using Adobe Reader while Export files can be viewed using a compatible program such as IHS Data Visualizer.
