GEPS Reports Training CD

This course begins by accessing and launching the application. The functionality of each of the hyperlinked report, map and download topics is reviewed. The functionality of each of the topic and document search pages is described. The last module details creating, accessing and editing the Personalized Report Generator.

Module 1-Introduction and Overview begins by accessing the application through the energy section of the IHS web site and logging in to myihsenergy. The GEPS Reports application is launched and a region of interest is selected. The various hyperlinked “More Information” topics are reviewed.

Module 2-GEPS Report Links covers the functionality of each of the hyperlinked report, map and download topics located at the top of the page. You will learn to open and compile documents into a report that can be printed or saved.

Module 3-GEPS Search Links reviews the search functionality of each of the hyperlinked Search links at the top of the page. We will learn to search for documents utilizing text entries, checkbox options and drop down list options by country, region and editorial product.

Module 4-Personalized Report Generator (PRG) opens by accessing the Personalized Report Generator home page. Next a Personalized Report template is created, utilizing different subject and location criteria, as well as selecting email options. We will also cover retrieving a report, compiling, saving and printing a report, editing report content and deleting a saved report.
