Data Management
- Utilizes the PETRA relational database, and its many functions for importing well, logs, tops, cartographic files, and others from all major data vendors, as well as common, ASCII tabular data.
- Provides a spreadsheet-style interface for importing horizons, velocity functions, etc.
- Exports all data, including interpretation data in a variety of industry standard and user-defined formats.
SEGY Data Loading
- Provides a powerful suite of tools for loading and manipulating SEGY files from SCSI tapes or disk files.
- Also allows writing the SEGY data back to tape from PetraSeis or SEGY disk files.
Mapping
- PetraSeis has many options for displaying horizon time, amplitude, velocity, depth, and various interval calculation around an interval. The integrated mapping makes it easy to switch between map types.

Trace Processing
- Phase rotation, AGC scaling
- Static shift, filter attributes
- Multiple inlines, cross lines, arbs
- Color or variable area
- Show/Pick from previous picks
- 2D combined line display
- Display wells and tops

| Logs and Synthetics
- Uses the sonic logs to generate velocity files and synthetic seismograms
- Easily interact with the filter parameters, phase, gain, and polarity to make the generation of the synthetic seismogram effortless.
 |
 |
|
Geologic Integration
- Is designed to directly access data from the PETRA database and overlay files, and to provide wiggle trace images and horizon maps to PETRA
- Actively contributes to integrated cross section displays. It can create a trace image through PETRA specified wells, flatten the traces on a horizon, convert the image from time to depth and display the image as a backdrop to a cross section

Math Functions
- Horizons can have many user-defined arithmetic operations applied, generating isochron, isopach, depth maps, etc.
- Includes many predefined functions, such as absolute value, logical operations, change sign, smooth, flatten, interval average, and semblance.
