The IHS Seismic Location Data is the most complete seismic locational database available. It combines the power and flexibility of the former MapIt database with a new and dynamic data layer showing 100% available seismic location data. It is currently comprised of over 600,000 km of 2D and 3D data. Clients can access detailed attribute information including vintage, fold, source, shot and group intervals, spread geometry, and more.

The IHS seismic data set is the most complete in the industry, obtaining data from public government sources, directly from oil companies, as well as companies that manage seismic data. IHS seismic data contains the most historical information of any other seismic offering, with IHS storing all of the originals onsite.

Access detailed attribute information including vintage, fold, source, shot and group intervals, spread geometry and more. Easily generate seismic plats, containing line numbers and location information, and quickly send a QI order via email to your broker of choice.

IHS manually performs quality assurance in addition to each source performing quality assurance on their seismic data. If errors are reported with seismic lines, IHS will investigate why the error occurred (e.g., a missing line), and correct it. Most clients see changes within 24 hours of update or with the monthly AccuMap update and release.
