Q. How do I change the scaling on the maps from Imperial (Feet) to Metric (Metres)? There does not seem to be a Unit selector on the interface to toggle between metric and imperial.

A. The scaling used in MapGuide is user definable. Unfortunately, its default is in Feet because Autodesk (Mapguide) is based in the U.S...To change to Metric, right click anywhere on the map, go down to "help" and choose "Preferences"...Under the heading "Map Units", switch ther setting to Metric.

Q. How do I format the "Surveyors well listing" to fit on a legal size page in landscape mode?..The print gets cut off at the TYPE column, even when I select "Scale to Fit"...

A. The inability to scale the page during print is a weakness of how Internet Explorer sends the page to the printer. The page displayed is a true HTML web page so IE drives the print process even if your printer allows for scaling. One solution is to "cut" and "paste" the selected table into Word or Excel. Another method being explored right now is to configure your browser to dictate the size of the font..(select "View" - "Fonts" at the top of Internet Explorer before sending the print request.
