The PEPS Transactions Analysis module tracks and analyses upstream oil and gas transactions worldwide (including North America and CIS).
Each valued transaction record provides you with details of the parties involved, terms of the transaction, a valuation, a basis for the valuation, a background of the assets involved, the location of the transaction (country, onshore, offshore, deep water) and a data quality comment, thus enabling you to make informed decisions for the benefit of you company. Such data can be used during negotiations involving asset purchases, sales to third parties or during farmin negotiations.
The module contains:
- A constantly expanding database of transaction records, one for each transaction, covering acreage sales and farm-ins, reserves sales, company takeovers, swaps and signature bonuses, helping you to build up a library of upstream transactions in one queryable database.
- A search facility allowing the selection of companies by buyer and seller, reducing the time spent in your search as well as assisting you to identify trends.
- This statistical and graphical module enables you to view average valuations by country, time and transaction category, helping you build a complete picture of the transaction history in any particular country and/or situation.
- The statistical package also allows you to perform company competitor analysis, enabling you to stay ahead of the game and see historically what prices were paid for assets.
Transactions are broadly divided into valued and unvalued categories. Valued transactions are then categorized as Exploration (US$/sq km, US$/%), Developed Reserves (US$/boe), Undeveloped Reserves (US$/boe) and Takeovers (US$/boe).
