GOM Frontier
Designed exclusively for companies exploring in the Gulf of Mexico.
The GOM Frontier Program makes available newly released wells, Order 12, and grants access to the highest quality database of well log information, the Databank. Additionally preferred rates are offered on IHS's Digitizing on Demand and Petrophysical Data Processing Services.
US Explorer
Working in both the Offshore and Onshore domains. Then the US Explorer Program is for you. Gain access to the highest quality database of well log information. Access the data via IHS Lognet and start working immediately, this service includes full management of all the log data you require.
US Pioneer
If your work is exclusively on land then this is the program for you. The US Pioneer Program offers access to data for all onshore regions, from Alaska to Texas, from the West Coast through Oklahoma to Eastern US.
Log Data Management:
This service provides full and flexible solutions for the management of your log data, whether you choose in-house or off-site options. We utilize a broad range of tools and proven expertise to custom design effective, low maintenance, data management systems. Managing data is our core competency. This helps you concentrate on your core business of finding oil and gas.
Our scanning process utilizes detailed indexing as well as high-resolution capture techniques to scan log data for use in your systems. Additionally, TIFF Group IV scanning standards, at 400 dpi, increase pixel clarity and provide a better source document for digital file format conversions (i.e. LIS/LAS, etc.).
Through our LOG MANAGER indexing tool, we capture standard or customized data fields to aid you in performing data queries. Data can be provided in standard TIFF formats or depth calibrated for use in cross-section software.
Petrophysical Data Processing:
IHS's professional Log Services staff provide additional support during evaluation processes. They offer a full range of editing services to provide the digital data you need, “Workstation Ready.”
Services range from depth matching and file merging through complex sonic and density editing. Project planning and customized specifications are essential elements associated with successful data editing projects.
Well Log Digitizing:
Proprietary IHS vectorization software powers both manual and automated processes to provide standardized products regardless of conversion methods Both methods utilize grid detection and calibration, along with center-line vectorization of curve data.
This time-tested technique is incorporated into a multi-layered process model which includes 7 QC steps to ensure the quality of the digital output file.
In addition to typical western-style logs, a wide variety of hardcopy presentations can be converted, including mud logs, non-standard international logs and grids, dip meter tadpole plots and more.
