U.S. Land Grid & Latitude/Longitudes

Browse and map IHS well, production and log data spatially

With the IHS Land Grid and Lat/Longs, IHS now provides well spots tied to a land grid, providing the data needed to place wells in visual context. Current wells are updated daily, and well spots are provided even for historic wells where verification data is not readily available from state sources.  The data includes more than 300,000 manually-spotted pre-1970s Texas wells not available at the Texas Railroad Commission (TRC).

Our customers no longer need to purchase map-coordinate data from a separate source, then spend time reconciling conflicting information about the geo-spatial location of an individual well.  Well spots are tied to the land grid, providing unprecedented levels of integration between E&P data and the mapping coordinates needed to place them in a visual context.

These extensively researched and painstakingly developed products provide an alternative data source and remove prior restrictions on browsing and map printing.  By building our own products, IHS is able to provide Lat/Longs on new permits on a daily basis-allowing you to easily map new activity.
