INPRO™ - Oil & Gas Facilities Process Design Toolkit
INPRO has been designed in conjunction with oil companies and contractors to assist engineers in the feasibility and conceptual design process of an oil/gas facility. Its objectives are to provide accurate front-end weights and dimensions for all key process equipment, and to allow rapid optimisation of design options.
- Industry-standard technical calculations
- Rapid check of detailed design calculations
- Cost optimisation facility
- Links into QUE$TOR™ (The world's leading E&P project cost evaluation software)
- Supplied with detailed user manual
- Can run in any standard units
INPRO provides Premier Oil with a convenient desktop solution for the initial design and sizing of major equipment items, It is used regularly when there is a need to quickly size a compressor, pipeline, separator, pump, etc.. INPRO also provides useful information during production operations, such as predicting hydrate formation, calculating pipeline temperature and pressure drops, estimating flare radiation levels, etc.
INPRO contains a set of individual calculation modules, including but not limited to:
- Separators: Sizing routines for 2 phase or 3 phase vertical or horizontal vessels, allowing full specification of mechanical details.
- Flare & Vent Systems: Selects tip type. From gas data and environmental conditions determines all aspects of system design.
- Gas Properties: Estimates physical and combustion properties of a gas mixture at a specified temperature and pressure.
- Heat Exchangers: Estimates sizes and weights for either shell and tube or air-cooled heat exchangers.
- Compressors: Sizes overall compression package showing each stage of compression and the required suction scrubbers and after-coolers.
- Pumps: Incorporates pipeline sizing routines to determine required pump parameters, such as pressure drops, power, dimensions and weights.
- Pipelines: Line sizing for gas and liquids lines. Includes cool down curves and pipeline topography definition.
- Gas Dehydration: Estimates hydrate formation temperature. Allows sizing of glycol contactor and regeneration packages. Has options for structured, random and trayed contactors.
