The following are enhancements to Data Visualizer version 2.8.

Available Formats

The following is a list of file extensions that Data Visualizer supports:

Y2K Compliant Format 298 Production Comma Delimited (File Extension 98C)

New! Detailed DMP2 Production (File Extension DP2)

297 Well Fixed (File Extension 97F)

297 Well Comma Delimited (File Extension 97C)

Note: Data Visualizer 2.8 no longer supports non-Y2K formats (Production: 98, DMP; Well: 97, 197). If you work with non-Y2K formats, retain the version of Data Visualizer you are using and install Data Visualizer version 2.8 in a different directory.

Verified Formats

All formats have been verified for exporting to Excel.

Running Excel

Data Visualizer 2.8 more efficiently checks for and opens the Excel program.

QuickPlot

Data Visualizer 2.8 now accommodates the same QuickPlot functionality as PI/Dwights PLUS on CD.

Quality improvements have been made to DP2 reports opened in QuickPlot.

Wellbore Lite

Data Visualizer 2.8 now accommodates the same Wellbore Lite functionality as PI/Dwights PLUS on CD.

Improved Online Help

The online Help systems for Data Visualizer 2.8, Wellbore Lite, and QuickPlot have been improved so that you can easily access the information you need, when you need it.

Improved Menus and Toolbars

Streamlined menus and toolbars make it easier to select the functions you need.

Help Menu Commands

The new IHS Home page can be accessed from a command on the Help menu.

New! The new Quality Assurance Home Page command on the Help menu lets you directly access the IHS Quality Assurance Home page.
