IHS Core Analyses
Find it first and find it fast, with IHS Core Analyses Data and Images
IHS Core Analyses Data combines the best core data with practical analysis tools. With the data, users can identify stratigraphic traps, evaluate difficult zones, determine porosity and estimate recovery.
Core analyses information distinguishes long signatures for challenging zones and includes lab test results. Captured from the original source documents, an IHS core team continually analyzes each province's well files (Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the Territories and East Coast Canada) making the core files the leading and most trusted in the industry. The dataset also contains conventional and sidewall, detailed information such as porosity, permeability, density, lithological descriptions and plug numbers (sample number/type) for all provinces.
IHS Core Analyses Image captures all current and historical data, updated daily, directly from the source provincial government regulatory agencies the OGC and SIR. The core analyses, core photos, porosity, permeability and lithological descriptions, and more are all captured as part of the complete well file and scanned as high quality digital PDF images with added OCR searchable options enabled.
IHS Core Analyses Data and Image supplies a quick core analyses and comparison from different wells in a target horizon will help efficiently answer questions like:
- Is the target horizon structurally or stratigraphically influenced?
- Which core samples meet my filter criteria (e.g., Kmax>2 millidarcies and 8% porosity)
With the Core Analyses Data and Image:
- Determine fluid type recovered from core
- Determine porosity - understand where the porosity is occuring within the target horizon
- Estimate recovery - assess the economics and estimate the likely recovery from a reservoir
- Use customizable spreadsheets - a pre-built data spreadsheet provides a quick reference to core data that you can customize, save and/or print for future reference
IHS Core Analyses Data is reviewed and checked against the completeness of the original source documents included in the IHS Core Analyses Image and the entirety of the image dataset. The datasets can be accessed within AccuMap, Enerdeq Desktop, the IHS Information Hub and via IHS Well Documents. |
