Arabian Gulf Oil Co in Ghadames Basin gas/condensate find - Libya

Although the well was completed in April 2008, only now has Arabian Gulf Oil Company (Agoco) confirmed that its D1-NC7A new field wildcat drilled in Block NC7A, Ghadames Basin is a gas/condensate discovery. Initial production test flows from several intervals in the Upper, Middle and Lower Acacus sandstones flowed a combined 4,154 bc/d and 129 MMcfg/d.

The well was drilled to the total depth 3,002m and encountered multiple shows at a depth of 3,629 to 4,163m. In the Upper Acacus sandstone formation, condensate flowed at a rate of 668 b/d and 22.5 MMcf/d of gas. In the Middle Acacus sandstone formation, condensate flowed at a rate of 500 b/d and 21.1 MMcf/d of gas. In the Lower Acacus sandstone formation multiple tests flowed condensate a rates of 790 to 1,251 b/d and gas at a rate of 27.6 to 28.9 MMcf/d.
