Petrobank tests Llanos Basin discovery for 5,200 bo/d - Colombia
|
Fifteen-degree oil flowed at the rate of 5,200 b/d, with 2% BSW, from the Lower Sand of the Ubaque Formation at a new field wildcat drilled by Petrobank in the Llanos Basin's Corcel Exploration & Production Contract. Corcel C1 has been initially completed in this formation, after logging about 23.5m of net oil pay in it and the Guadalupe Sand. The Caroil #12 land rig is now drilling the Corcel C3 outpost toward a proposed total depth of 3,800m. Meanwhile, Petrobank is testing the Guadalupe and Mirador zones after encountering 54m of net oil pay at Corcel A4. This appraisal was drilled at the peak of the structure in order to identify all potential sands.
