PetroVietnam to acquire seismic in late spring 2008 - Cuba

PetroVietnam has reportedly signed a Letter of Intent with Scan Geophysical ASA for its new ice-class, four-streamer, dual-purpose vessel, the "Scan Stigandi" M/V.  Beginning in late May or early June 2008, the vessel is scheduled to acquire approximately 4,000km of 2D data for PetroVietnam over its blocks 31, 32, 42 and 43 in Cuba's Exclusive Economic Zone. Recently outfitted in Halifax, Nova Scotia, this modern seismic vessel is equipped to handle four streamers for 3D application and long-offset, large source configurations for 2D surveys worldwide.
