Artumas Group seeks partner for Mnazi Nay concession - Tanzania

Ahead of a drilling program that is due to get underway in the fourth quarter of 2008, Artumas Group is looking to farm out part of its interest in the 756 sq km Mnazi Bay concession and has opened a data room to this effect.  The license contains the Mnazi Bay and Msimbati gas fields; two development wells and one exploration well are expected to be drilled.  The Mnazi Bay field was discovered by Agip in 1982, with a well testing 13.9 MMcf/d of gas through a 32/64" choke from a 9m zone below 1,899m in Oligocene deltaic sands.  Gas was also encountered in Miocene sands.  At the time, proven reserves associated with the Oligocene sands and based on a drainage area of 640 acres around the discovery well were calculated at 16/18 Bcf; probable reserves are 11 Bcf.  As of mid October 2007, the gas in-place resources estimate for the entire concession stood at P90 - 380 Bcf and a Pmean of nearly 1.2 Tcf.
