IHS Energy Awarded Substantial Consulting Contract From Kuwait Ministry of Energy
EPSOM, U.K. (30 June 2004) – IHS Energy, the global source of oil and gas information, analytical software and consulting services, announced today it has been awarded a substantial consulting contract from the Kuwait Ministry of Energy. The project will entail the revision of Kuwait 's petroleum conservation regulations. IHS Energy will work with the Ministry to implement the new regulations and establish the required supervision and auditing systems.
In a recent press announcement, the Kuwait Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Mr Essa Al Oum recognized the strategic importance of this project in developing a legal framework for the conservation of petroleum resources. Based on best industry practice, the revised regulations are seen as an essential cornerstone in the regulation of petroleum activities in Kuwait .
