IHS Energy to Sponsor International Forum at NAPE 2004 Experts will Address International E&P Challenges and Opportunities Focusing on Latin America

HOUSTON (Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003) - IHS Energy will sponsor the North American Prospect Expo (NAPE®) International Forum, Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at the George R. Brown Convention Center (Room 301) in Houston. The forum will be held immediately prior to NAPE, which is scheduled for February 5, 2004, through February 6, 2004.

As part of the NAPE International Forum, experts from IHS Energy will present an important and valuable workshop, “International E&P Challenges and Opportunities: Focus on Latin America.” Economic and political concerns have impacted Latin America’s petroleum industry, but drilling activity is increasing and several countries have increased incentives to attract E&P investments. The objective of the workshop is to provide a current view of the region’s business issues and the challenges and opportunities that merit attention in today’s competitive environment. The workshop is targeted to operating companies and consultants, both new and established, who are interested in learning more about Latin America’s E&P potential.

In addition to the morning workshop, the daylong forum will feature a networking luncheon and the afternoon speaker’s forum, which will bring together representatives from petroleum-producing countries and expo participants to present global E&P investment opportunities that exist both globally and in Latin America.
