IHS Energy Acquires International Petrodata Limited

CALGARY (Tuesday, December 9, 2003) – IHS Energy, the global source of oil and gas information, analytical software and consulting services, announced today that IHS Energy (Canada) has acquired International Petrodata Limited (IPL) of Calgary, Alberta. IPL has provided the Canadian oil and gas industry with wellbore data since 1963, including general well data, core analyses, fluid analyses (oil/gas/water) and directional surveys for Western Canada and the Frontier areas.

Both the IHS Energy and Petrodata Well files were created by industry, for industry and are recognized as complete, accurate, and high quality sources of well data. Both files are currently available in AccuMap™.
