IHS Energy to Sponsor International Forum at NAPE 2003 Experts to Address Value, Risks, Terms and Opportunities of Expanding Internationally

HOUSTON (Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003) - IHS Energy will sponsor the North American Prospect Expo (NAPE®) International Forum on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at the George R. Brown Convention Center (Room 301) in Houston. The forum will be held immediately prior to NAPE, which is scheduled for January 29, 2003, through January 30, 2003.

The daylong forum will feature a morning workshop on expanding your E&P business internationally, a luncheon, and an afternoon "farmout" session, which will bring together representatives from petroleum-producing countries and E&P companies to discuss global E&P opportunities.

Experts from IHS Energy will host the workshop, "Guidelines to International E&P Success," which will include discussions regarding increasing value through international ventures; getting started internationally; managing legal and business risks; understanding fiscal terms and issues; current worldwide opportunities and challenges; and a panel discussion where several independents will present their paths to international E&P success. The workshop is targeted to operating companies and consultants, both new and established, who are interested in international opportunities.
