Peter D. Carragher — Head Discipline – Exploration, BP, Houston, TX
Pete Carragher currently holds the position of Head of Discipline - Exploration, in BP’s Worldwide Exploration Strategic Performance Unit.
Pete has been involved in oil and gas exploration for over 34 years, and has evaluated and drilled prospects or worked in most of the world’s oil and gas provinces. Since 1990 he has been involved in developing and applying exploration risk assessment techniques and portfolio management processes. He served for 2 years as Manager, Upstream Portfolio Analysis for Amoco immediately prior to the merger with BP. In 2003 Pete was named to his current position, reporting to the Group Vice President for Access & Exploration, and works with him to develop and improve BP’s exploration strategy and performance, exploration process, R&D program, and organizational capability. Pete graduated with a degree in geology from King’s College London in 1974.

Dick Catto — Sr. Director of Production Operations, Denver, Colorado
Dick has 30 Years of experience in the Petroleum Industry. After graduating from Northern Michigan University, he began his career as an offshore oil field rough neck for Zapata Offshore Corporation in South Louisiana. He has since accumulated extensive experience in Field Operations, Product Management and Application Development.
He currently leads a team of 45 people and his management team of 5 individuals combine for over 150 years of experience.

Alex Chakhmakhchev – Senior Manager, Global Support, Houston, TX
Alex is Senior Manager for IHS global support organization. He joined IHS in 2001 as a senior consultant of the consulting organization being in charge of the projects covering property, company evaluation and petroleum economics. In 2004 Alex became a part of the IHS’s global support organization. Prior to joining IHS, Alex worked as project manager for Yukos Oil Company, Senior Geologist for Lukoil and Projects researcher for Japan National Oil Corp. Alex holds Ph.D. in Petroleum Geochemistry from the Information System in Geology Research Institute in Moscow. He was post doctorate student in Shimane University in Japan. Alex is author of many technical papers published in international magazines. Alex’s coverage is global exploration strategy focused primarily on super majors, CBM global development and international bid round evaluation.

Aliza Fan — Vice President, Senior Equity Analyst, Houston, TX
Aliza is Vice President, Senior Equity Analyst, for Herold IHS. Aliza is a member of Herold’s Equity Research Team.
Aliza leads Herold’s Upstream Capital Spending Analysis. In addition, she produces various topical industry analyses. Aliza has prior experience covering a group of U.S. E&P companies. Prior to joining Herold in September 1996, Aliza covered the oil, natural gas and power industries for Dow Jones & Co.’s Investment research department and tracked the petroleum industry for the financial news group of a leading trade publications. She is a member of the Houston Producers’ Forum, the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) and the Global Energy Management institute at the University of Houston’s Bauer College of Business. Aliza also holds a NASD Series 65 license.

Bob Fryklund — Vice President of Industry Relations, Houston, TX
Bob has more than 26 years experience in the domestic and international energy industry and prior to joining IHS, he served as president of Libya for a major, integrated international oil and gas company. His expertise extends from the changing role of NOCs, to energy security, unconventionals and E&P strategies and performance. Bob is available to the media to provide his expertise on Security of Supply, North America (including Canada), the Middle East and Latin America.
Based in Houston, Bob leads the Expert Source Programme for IHS, which delivers strategic-thought leadership to the oil and gas industry in the form of insight and analysis. He devotes much of his time to customer relations and to assisting IHS customers with business solutions.
Bob holds an AB from Hamilton College and an advanced certificate in management. He has also completed advanced studies in business and geology from the University of Houston and the University of Tulsa, respectively. Bob is a member of the Houston Geological Society (HGS) and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG). He speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Rich Herrmann – Vice President of Global Information Access, Denver, Co.
As Vice President of Global Information Access, Rich leads the product management of IHS Energy content access and delivery technologies. His team is driving the introduction of IHS new Enerdeq solution. Enerdeq is a content delivery & integration platform providing web-based and desktop access to all of IHS’s global Energy content.
He has over 20 years of oil & gas industry and technology experience including geologic and geophysical interpretation, software development, product management, business development and executive management.
Prior to IHS, Rich held a variety of positions with TGS-NOPEC, Petroleum Place, GeoGraphix, and Chevron. Rich holds a B.S. in Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences from MIT and an M.S. in Exploration Geophysics from Stanford University.

Brady Hughes — Senior Vice President, Director of Product Development, Norwalk, CT
Brady is Senior Vice President, Director of Product Development, for IHS Herold. Brady joined Herold in 1999 as a member of the Consulting team focusing on engagements in M&A advisory and performance analysis. During his tenure at Herold he has held various position including manger Herold's Geological Research Centers. Brady was appointed Director of Product Development in 2006. Prior to joining Herold, Brady worked as a financial analyst for Sterling Consulting Group focused on oil and gas valuation and performance. Brady holds a B.B.A. (Finance) from the Stephen F. Austin and a M.B.A. (Finance) from Rice University. Brady's Group currently has products on Global Projects Research and Alternative Energy under development.

Forrest E. Hoglund — Chairman and CEO of SeaOne Maritime Corporation, Dallas, TX
Forrest is the retired Chairman of the Board and CEO of EOG Resources, Inc, one of the most active drillers of gas wells in the U.S. and Canada. He came to EOG Resources in 1987 to take it public and grow it into one of the best performing independent oil and gas companies in the industry.
Prior to his appointment with EOG Resources in September 1987, Forrest was President and CEO of Texas Oil & Gas Corporations (TXO), one of the fastest growing independent producing companies at that time.
After receiving a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas, Forrest began his career with Exxon Corporation. He worked for Exxon from 1956 to 1977in various capacities, including Vice President of Natural Gas.
He is past Chairman of the Board of Visitors of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Foundation, a former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and remains active in both institutions. Forrest also just finished chairing a successful $653 million fund raising effort for the University of Kansas. His latest effort involves leading the drive to get a ne Museum of Nature & Science built in downtown Dallas.
Forrest is also Chairman and President of the Hoglund Foundation. Started in 1989, the Hoglund Foundation has provided grants to numerous educational, medical and social needs programs in the Dallas and Houston area.

Paul H. Jones - Director Global Sales, Houston, TX
Paul Jones is the Director of Global Sales for the PETRA® product line of the Energy division of IHS. His current responsibilities include the promotion and introduction of PETRA and PetraSeis™ to the worldwide E&P industry.
Jones’s 26 years of industry experience includes positions with Seismic Micro-Technology, Paradigm Geophysical, Chevron Information and Technology Company, and Gulf Oil.
Jones has a geology degree from Michigan State University. He is a member of the AAPG and the Houston Geological Society. He has also written articles for Hart’s E&P and Petrosystems World. |

Bob Meyer — Sr. Vice President, Tulsa, OK
Bob is Vice President, PETRA Sales and Marketing for IHS. In 1996, he was a co-founder of geoPLUS Corporation, which developed PETRA, where he led the sales and marketing efforts of the company. Bob has a Masters degree in Engineering from Oklahoma State University, and worked at Hewlett Packard for 17 years prior to the formation of geoPLUS. Scott Moore — Vice President of Gas Marketing, Anadarko, Denver, CO
Scott Moore is Vice President of Gas Marketing for Anadarko Energy Services Co. which is the marketing affiliate of Anadarko Petroleum Corp. Anadarko is a leading independent domestic producer of oil and gas as well as one of the largest producers in the Rocky Mountains. He has management responsibility for the marketing operations in support of the company’s natural gas production and processing operations in the western United States. Mr. Moore has been employed in the natural gas industry for 24 years with experience in marketing, trading, logistics, commodity derivatives, economics, risk management, commercial litigation, project finance and engineering. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with honors from the University of Colorado and an M.S. in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines.
Mr. Moore is a guest lecturer at area universities and industry associations on energy market dynamics and public policy. Active in civic affairs, he is the chairman of the board of trustees of Boulder Country Day School, served on the 20th Judicial District Nominating Commission from 2001 to 2006, and is a graduate of the Republican Leadership Program.

Tim Munson —. Exploration Manager, Spartan Resources, LLC, OKC, OK
Tim is the Exploration Manager for Spartan Resources, LLC. Tim joined Spartan as Exploration Manager in November 1997. Prior to joining Spartan Tim worked 7 years at Cabot Oil and Gas Corporation in Oklahoma City and prior to that worked 5 years at MESA Petroleum in Amarillo, TX. Tim holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees in geology from West Texas A&M University. Tim is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), Oklahoma City Geological Society (OCGS), the West Texas Geological Society (WTGS) and the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association (OIPA). Tim has served as a volunteer to the Oklahoma Energy Resource Board (OERB) as a PetroPro since 2000. He has served on the Scholastic Outreach Committee of the OERB since 2001. He has assisted the OERB in curricula development for their CORE Energy and Fossils to Fuels Programs and he is an instructor for the OERB PetroTech Program at Francis Tuttle Technology Center. In 2003 and again in 2007 the OERB presented Tim with their “Randy Foutch Award” in recognition of his service and dedication to the OERB Energy Education Program and in 2008 Spartan Resources was presented the “OERB Petro Partner Award” for its work in educating the teachers and students of Oklahoma about the petroleum industry.

Daniel Pratt — Vice President, Senior Equity Analyst, Norwalk, CT
Dan is Vice President, Senior Equity Analyst, for Herold IHS. Dan joined Herold in 1997 as a member of the Financial & Operational Database team and manager of the database products group, and became part of the Herold’s equity research team in 1999. Prior to joining Herold, Dan worked as an accountant for Applied Industrial Materials Corporation.
Dan holds a B.A. (Economics) from the University of Rochester with a Citation of Special Achievement in Finance. Dan holds the Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, is a member of the CFA Institute, and a member of the Stanford CFA Society. Wally Reed — Consultant, Interpreted Formation Tops, Houston, TX
Wally is currently a consultant for IHS. He was one of the three original founders of Geological Data Services (GDS) in 1984. GDS developed high quality formation tops data in the Permian Basin, Mid-Continent, and Rocky Mountain regions. He originally was director of operations when GDS began but later handled all management of their sales and marketing. GDS was acquired by IHS Energy in January 2007.
Wally holds a B.S. (Geography/Geology) from Western Kentucky University. While working as a cartographer in the 1970's for the Defense Mapping Agency in Washington D.C. he attended and graduated from the Defense Mapping School in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. Before helping to start GDS he worked for seven years at Geomap Company as their chief cartographer in charge of all mapping operations. He is currently a member of the West Texas Geological Society and has been a member of AAPG prior to the sale of GDS.

David Reimers – Geologist, Houston, TX
Houston based geologist with a Ph.D. in Geology from Tulane University. David is presently Senior Data Advisor with IHS in Houston. His industry experience includes both onshore and offshore U.S. regional geologic and stratigraphic studies. He also has expertise and experience in geologic and geophysical computer applications, and geoscience data management.

James Sanders — Senior Product Manager, Denver, CO
James manages and markets several Web Services products, including Enerdeq Web Services and Software Development Kit (SDK). James is also responsible for partnering with E&P software vendors and systems integrators to develop IHS content integration solutions. James has over 12 years experience in software development, systems architecture, consulting, and integration. James has a deep background in Enterprise Application Integration, Service Oriented Architecture and Geographic Information Systems. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Computer Science, History) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Systems from Monash University in Australia.

Bruce Smith— VP, Critical Information, Denver, CO
Bruce has more than 25 years of energy industry experience including the past 14 years with IHS and its predecessor Petroleum Information. Bruce's experience includes working as a geophysicist for Chevron and working for the Gas Research Institute on developing new technology for the energy industry. Bruce is currently on assignment to PPDM (Public Petroleum Data Model), a nonprofit industry standards group, researching differences in regulatory practices across the United States.

Lisa joined IHS in 1977 to help with the build of the California Well Database, and has managed various aspects of the business during her tenure. She is currently Product Manager for US Land Grid and Lat Longs, North American 3D Seismic Survey Outlines, and US Well Data. Lisa holds a B.A. (Business Administration) from Ft Lewis College, Durango CO.

Steve Trammel — Sr. Product Manager, New Product Development, Denver, CO
Steve joined IHS in 1981 and oversees Current Activity Reports, with a special focus on unconventional resources, the Gulf of Mexico and new product development for US-based products.
Steve regularly speaks and writes on a variety of industry topics, having begun his career within the oil and gas industry as a scout and writer on Rocky Mountain activity for Petroleum Information (now IHS). He also managed the development of the first Web-based product for Petroleum Information.
Steve studied English literature and art at the University of Colorado, and English and geology at Texas Tech University, receiving the highest honors for his studies. He is also a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

Dean Williams — Sr. Director, Sourcing & Content Creation, Denver, CO
Dean is Senior Director of Sourcing and Content Creation at IHS and is located in Denver, Colorado. He joined IHS in 1998 as a member of the Client Support team and has served in various roles within Vendor Relations and Product Management. Prior to joining IHS, Dean worked as a Reservoir Engineer in Shreveport, Louisiana. Dean holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the Louisiana Tech University.

Kent Williamson — Senior Product Manager, Tulsa, OK
Kent is Senior Product Manager for PETRA and joined IHS in 2007 shortly after IHS acquired geoPLUS, the creators of PETRA. Kent holds a B.S. in Political Science from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from the University of Maryland. He has previous experience in sales and product management along with military service as an officer in the U.S. Marine.
